Kickin crawfish – Went yesterday evening with a few friends. Some of the best Crawfish all year. The seasoning was excellent and the beer was good and cold. But one of the best parts were the waitresses, very nice and very good looking. If you want a good time and want some very good Crawfish or shrimp this is the place to go. The potatoes and corn were also very good.
<3 Crawfish City – I have been in and out of Crawfish City for many, many, years... and I would have to agree with Pleasantly Surprised! I honestly can't wait till the doors to this establishment open, which they did open a few weeks ago for those of you who haven't heard yet :) But my girlfriends and I love to go to Crawfish City and enjoy the "best" crawfish in town! We pick this place over all the others because the seasoning is PERFECT, not coated all on the outside like Cormiers, and it doesnt have that redneck, dirty feel like Riverside Coney Island! I would defiantly refer this place to any one craving a great time and great crawfish!!
Pleasantly Surprised – After reading a poor review and having this place recommended by a co-worker who has very poor taste in restaurants I was worried about dining here. Crawfish City exceeded my expectations. The crawfish weren't the biggest but were very tasty and the shrimp was wonderful. The waitress was very friendly despite certain members of our group giving her a hard time. I will go back to this establishment in the future.
Crawfish City, West Monroe, La. – It's amazing how the quality has changed at what used to be an excellent place to go for a good crawfish boil. Last year was I guess the start of poor quality boiling practice. I said then, I would never return, but decided to this year, two weeks ago, then last night to be sure I was right about poor quality from last year. It really takes an effort to screw up good simple food and that is what's happened at Crawfish City. Several things have happened that evoilved from quality to now is, they buy small un-graded crawfish ( mostly very small ) then they don't wash them ( evidence of bayou trash when served), the only seasoning is maybe red pepper, lots of salt, left over boiling water, etc. The end product is all about buying cheap and selling high with no product quality. It's no wonder the other crawfish restaurants are packed, the people are going for quality. It's a shame crawfish city was once great place to eat, is now of very poor choice, greed usually takes the place of good quality.
